Privacy Policy

Simply Safe Dividends LLC ("Simply Safe Dividends," "we," "us," or "our") provides investment research and portfolio tools. This policy explains how we collect, use, and share personal information in connection with our iPhone app and the account, portfolio, billing, communications, and support services used with it (the "Services").

Information we collect

• Account information. Your name, email address, account identifiers, password information stored as a password hash, email-verification information, subscription status, and preferences.
• Portfolio information. Account and portfolio names, securities, share quantities, balances, cost basis, income calculations, notes, saved screens, and information you enter manually or upload in a spreadsheet.
• Connected brokerage information. If you choose to connect a brokerage, information made available through that connection, such as the institution, account identifiers and numbers or masked numbers, account types, balances, holdings, prices, quantities, and cost basis. We also retain connection tokens and import records needed to maintain the connection.
• Billing information. Subscription and payment records, payment-provider identifiers, and limited payment-method details, such as card brand, expiration date, and last four digits. Our payment provider processes your payment details.
• Communications. Support messages, survey responses, feedback, email preferences, and other information you provide when communicating with us.
• Technical and usage information. IP addresses, browser and device information, operating system, identifiers used for sessions or analytics, pages and features used, interactions, and information in security and error logs. Analytics may derive approximate location, such as city or region, from an IP address.

How we use information

We use information to create and secure your account; provide research and portfolio features; import and update linked brokerage data; process subscriptions; send requested research, alerts, account messages, and promotional communications; answer questions; understand and improve the Services; and prevent fraud, abuse, and unauthorized access.

Brokerage connections

Connecting a brokerage is optional. We use Plaid and Yodlee to connect to financial institutions and retrieve information you authorize. Brokerage credentials are entered through the provider's or institution's authentication flow; Simply Safe Dividends does not receive your brokerage password through these integrations. We receive connection identifiers and the financial information needed to display and update your portfolio. Updates continue while the connection remains authorized.

The connection provider and your institution also handle information under their applicable notices and authorization terms. Their practices may include retaining information or using aggregated or de-identified data as described in those terms. Review the disclosures shown when connecting and the Plaid End User Privacy Policy and Yodlee Privacy Notice.

Who receives information

We do not sell or license customer personal information or portfolio data. Authorized team members and service providers receive information needed to operate the Services. Providers include Plaid and Yodlee for brokerage connectivity; Stripe for payments; Mixpanel for product analytics; Customer.io for email communications; Amazon Web Services for hosting, storage, and email delivery; Cloudflare for signup security; and Basecamp and other support or collaboration tools for customer-service and account operations.

If you sign up through a referral, we share your email address, referral identifiers, and signup date with FirstPromoter to attribute referrals and administer our referral program.

Mixpanel receives account identifiers, usage events, and associated technical information so we can understand how the Services are used. This activity can be linked to your account. Service providers processing information on our behalf must protect it consistently with this policy and applicable law and use it for the services they are authorized to provide. Some providers, including financial institutions and payment or connection providers, also have independent legal obligations and privacy notices governing their own processing.

We may disclose information when required by law or legal process, to protect people and our rights, to investigate fraud or security incidents, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of our business. We may also share information at your direction or with your consent.

Cookies and similar technologies

The app uses web-based features that store cookies and similar information to keep you signed in, remember preferences, maintain security, and support analytics. Browser or device controls may let you clear or restrict this storage, which can sign you out or affect features. The app does not currently use a browser's Do Not Track signal to change its data collection. You can contact us about other available privacy choices.

Your choices

• Account details. You can update your email address, password, and available preferences in My Account, and edit information you maintain in your portfolios.
• Email. Use the unsubscribe link in an email or available notification settings to change optional communications. We may still send essential account, billing, and security messages.
• Brokerage access. You can revoke access through your brokerage or connection provider, remove linked accounts in the app, or contact us for help stopping synchronization. Revoking access does not by itself erase information already imported.
• Privacy requests. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, obtain a copy of, or delete personal information; withdraw consent; or object to or limit certain uses. Email us to make a request, including a request about analytics. We may need to verify your identity and will handle requests as required by applicable law. Contact us if you wish to appeal our response.

Retention and account deletion

We retain personal information while needed to provide the Services. When you delete your account, we delete associated personal information as described below, except information we are legally required to retain, such as certain billing records. We may retain statistics that do not identify you, such as counts of account deletions by subscription status.

To delete your Simply Safe Dividends account in the app, go to More → My Account → Delete account. This immediately removes your account and associated portfolios and starts removal of brokerage connections. We complete deletion of remaining associated personal information within 30 days and email you when it is complete, explaining any information we are legally required to retain and why. You do not need to make a separate request for this cleanup. Removing the app from your device or canceling your subscription alone does not delete your account.

We temporarily use your email address and relevant account identifiers to carry out and confirm deletion, then remove those identifying details from our deletion task. Information a provider holds independently, including information needed to meet its legal obligations or maintain another service you use, is governed by that provider's retention and deletion practices.

Security and processing locations

We use technical and organizational safeguards to protect personal information, including encrypted connections and restricted access. No internet service or storage system can guarantee complete security. We and our providers may process information in the United States and other countries where we operate, whose privacy laws may differ from yours. Where required, we use safeguards for international transfers.

Children

The Services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child under 13 has provided information to us, contact us so we can investigate and address it.

Changes and contact

We may update this policy as our Services or practices change. We will revise the date above and provide additional notice or request consent when required by law.
